Behaviors (DISC) & Values (Motivators) Assessment

The DISC Behaviors & Motivators Assessment is a combination of two of the most popular assessments. One provides a profile of your observable behavior. It describes how you act in certain situations and circumstances.

The Motivators report explains the why of you behavior. It provides insight into what drives you. Together these two profiles provide a solid understanding of you, your strengths, you potential blind spots, and are of potential improvement.

What is a DISC Assessment?

There are hundreds of different DISC interpretations, tools and training products. These are all based on 4-quadrant DISC behavioral style theory. The DISC profiles that we recommend have easy-to-understand narrative reports with highly targeted information that can be used for self-awareness, as well as for personal, team, and corporate vitality planning.

A DISC profile is an accurate description of our observable actions and behaviors. It is not a test. There is no right or wrong DISC profile, no good or bad style. Every style combination has strengths and weaknesses, value to the organization and typical blind spots that might create problems if unaddressed. A profile narrates exactly how we prefer to do things and in what kind of environment we prefer to do them.

What is the Motivators Report?

MOTIVATORS are what drive you. With motivators, we can make informed assumptions about what a person wants to spend their time and energy on. So, whereas the DISC Behavioral report tells us the “What” of a person’s behavior, the Motivators Report tells us the “Why” of their behavior.

The MOTIVATORS report indicates:

  • How you value and approach knowledge and information.
  • How you value and approach time and resources.
  • How you value and approach the arts and protection of the environment.
  • How you value and approach the efforts to help people and causes.
  • How you value and approach authority, power, and control.
  • How you value and approach traditions and a system of living.

The three objectives of debriefing the MOTIVATORS report are to assist you to:

  1. Identify and appreciate what motivates you.
  2. Identify and appreciate motivators you are indifferent to.
  3. Establish how your goals coincide with your motivators.

By understanding your values and motivators, you will better understand what truly drives you.

Studies suggest that over 50% of the workforce may be in jobs that are not suited to who they are and what they value. Another study, suggests the number may be as high as 90%.

If your career is an extension of who you are, you will not have to be motivated. You will get up in the morning and desire to go to work, because your environment will be providing the “value” you need in order to achieve your maximum potential.
